Reacher starring Alan Ritchson will be sticking around through at least season four. The popular action drama has officially been renewed for its fourth season, way ahead of the series’ season three premiere set for 2025. The streamer reports season two, which debuted in December 2023, was the most-watched Prime Video series last year.
“Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season,” stated Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios. “We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series including Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance, and CBS Studios.”
In addition to Alan Ritchson, Maria Sten Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart, and Olivier Richters will star in season three. The upcoming third season is based on Persuader, the seventh book in Lee Child’s bestselling series.
Prime Video offered this short description of season three: “Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past.”
Emmy nominee Nick Santora (Prison Break) adapted Child’s novels for the series and serves as executive producer and showrunner. Child is involved as an executive producer, as well as Alan Ritchson, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell.
On October 1st, Prime Video announced they are expanding the world of Reacher with the addition of the spinoff, The Untitled Neagley Project. Co-showrunners and executive producers Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton created the series, and Maria Sten is confirmed to star.
“Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell bent on justice,” reads Prime Video’s synopsis. “Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.”
