A24’s Y2K trailer feels like a mix of Super Bad and This Is The End set during that weird period when the world wondered what would happen at midnight on December 31st, 1999. Directed by SNL‘s Kyle Mooney, Y2K is coming to theaters on December 6, 2024.
The comedy’s cast includes Jaeden Martell, Rachel Zegler, Julian Dennison, and The Kid Laroi. Alicia Silverstone, Tim Heidecker, and Fred Durst also star.
A24 offered this description of Mooney’s comedy: “On the last night of 1999, two high school juniors crash a New Years Eve party, only to find themselves fighting for their lives in this dial-up disaster comedy.”
