‘Yellowjackets’ Season 3 Trailer: Secrets and Blood Will Be Spilled

There’s a lot to unpack in Paramount+ with Showtime’s official Yellowjackets season three trailer. There’s (literal) backstabbing, lies empathically delivered, terrifying memories revealed, and promises of more bloodshed in the intense two-minute trailer.

The trailer was accompanied by new photos from the much-anticipated third season.

Critics Choice Awards winner Melanie Lynskey stars as Shauna, Emmy nominee Christina Ricci is Misty, Tawny Cypress plays Taissa, and Emmy nominee Lauren Ambrose is Van. Sophie Nélisse is Teen Shauna, Jasmin Savoy Brown is Teen Taissa, Sophie Thatcher is Teen Natalie, Samantha Hanratty is Teen Misty, and Courtney Eaton is Teen Lottie.

The cast also includes Liv Hewson as Teen Van, Steven Krueger as Ben Scott, Warren Kole as Jeff, Kevin Alves as Teen Travis, Sarah Desjardins as Callie, and Simone Kessell as Lottie. Elijah Wood returns in his recurring role as Walter. Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Joel McHale guest star.

“Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over,” reads Paramount+ with Showtime’s synopsis.

“In season three, as summer arrives, the Yellowjackets face a fragile victory—the brutal winter that nearly claimed them is finally behind them, but distrust in leadership and tension within the team jeopardize their chances of being rescued. In the present, long-buried secrets from their pasts begin to surface. As the women fight to keep their lives from unraveling, they must confront a chilling question: who are they really, and what dark truths are they hiding from each other and themselves?”

Season three premieres on February 14, 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime with the release of the first two episodes. The season debuts on-air on February 16th.

Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson created the series and serve as showrunners along with Jonathan Lisco. Executive producers include Lyle, Nickerson, Lisco, Drew Comins, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa, and Brad Van Arragon.
