Season two of Netflix’s sports documentary series Sprint will continue spotlighting the journeys of world-class sprinters through the trials and the Paris 2024 Olympics. The new season focuses on Noah Lyles, Gabby Thomas, Fred Kerley, Kishane Thompson, Julien Alfred, and Letsile Tebogo. Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry, Marcell Jacobs, Kenny Bednarek, Shericka Jackson, and Oblique Seville will also be featured in season two.
“Following athletes from all over the world, this series delves deep into the psyches of those elite competitors who train to be the fastest person on the planet,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “We take an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the high stakes, and mental toughness of the sprinters who devote their entire lives to crossing the finish line in record time, where their professional futures are decided in just fractions of a second.”
The six-episode first season debuted on July 2, 2024, ahead of the Olympics, with footage shot during the 2023 World Championships. Sprint season two will premiere on November 13th.
The docuseries is produced by Box to Box Films (Full Swing) in association with World Athletics and the Olympic Channel. Executive producers include Paul Martin, James Gay-Rees, and Warren Smith of Box to Box Films. JT Taylor and Yiannis Exarchos of the Olympic Channel and Jérôme Parmentier and David Herren of the IOC also serve as executive producers.
