Murder in the 21st

A&E’s fall 2023 lineup includes the return of Interrogation Raw, Accused: Guilty or Innocent? and Killer Cases. The network’s true crime lineup also features the premiere of Murder in the 21st, a new series that dives into murder victims’ digital footprints.

A special edition of Cold Case Files examines prolific serial killer Joel Rifkin’s two still-unidentified victims and will air on September 30th.

INTERROGATION RAW – Returns Thursday, September 21 at 9pm ET/PT
Criminal cases can be won or lost in the interrogation room. Success can bring justice for the victims; failure can lead to guilty person walking free. Interrogation Raw is a true crime series that explores the delicate twists and turns of some of the most fascinating interrogations ever done.

Each hour-long episode will reveal every tactic, every make-or-break moment that occurs within those four walls. Armchair detectives will feel like they are in the room as the very detectives involved share play-by-play commentary on what is often a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. The tension is palpable since, by law, no suspect needs to talk at all. Those who do can stop at any time.

On Interrogation Raw, it’s a race against the clock and everything is on the line.

KILLER CASES – Returns Friday, September 29 at 9pm ET/PT
All the emotion, drama, and suspense of America’s most chilling murder trials are captured on Killer Cases. Weaving together interviews and gripping footage, Killer Cases is an immersive true-crime roller coaster. Viewers will get a first-hand look as they hear from police officers, forensic experts, witnesses, and sometimes even the defendants themselves.

MURDER IN THE 21st – Premieres Friday, September 29 at 10pm ET/PT
Murder in the 21st is a compelling new true-crime series exploring some of this century’s most notorious homicide investigations through a deep dive of each victim’s digital footprint. Analyzing social media posts, texts, emails, and podcasts alongside authentic archival materials and police records, Murder in the 21st provides unflinching access to each case as investigators uncover motive, means, and opportunity.

COLD CASE FILES: THE RIFKIN MURDERS – Special Premieres Saturday, September 30 at 8pm ET/PT
Cold Case Files: The Rifkin Murders documents the real-time New York State Police cold case investigation into the two unidentified victims of serial killer Joel Rifkin, the most prolific serial killer in New York State history. Through highly rare police access and several never-before-seen interviews, including the first interview with Rifkin in over a decade, cameras follow investigators as this 30-year-old serial killer case is reignited by TV producer Peter Reiss through his relationship with Joel Rifkin.

ACCUSED: GUILTY OR INNOCENT? – Series Returns Thursday, October 5 at 10pm ET/PT
Accused: Guilty or Innocent? follows the dramatic inside stories – as they unfold – of people facing trial for serious crimes they are alleged to have committed. Each claims to be not guilty or that their actions were justifiable. The acclaimed true crime series offers an extraordinary and compelling account of what happens when someone is formally charged with a crime and sent to trial – all solely from the perspective of the accused, their legal team, and family members.

Each immersive episode follows the accused person’s journey through the planning of their legal defense, their appearances in court, and, ultimately, awaiting justice. As evidence mounts and the trial approaches, these riveting and emotional stories provide an unprecedented look at what happens when your freedom is on the line.
