The trailer for season three of Netflix’s Emily in Paris finds the titular character attempting to figure out what direction to take with her career and with her personal life.
“This season has everything that I love from the first two seasons, but elevated to an even higher level,” says Lily Collins. “The other characters get to flourish, as well. What’s really exciting is getting to see all of the other characters as much as we see Emily. We have fabulous characters, played by fabulous actors, and we get to see even more of them this season.”
In addition to Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, the third season stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, and Camille Razat as Camille. Samuel Arnold plays Julien, Bruno Gouery is Luc, William Abadie is Antoine Lambert, and Lucien Laviscount stars as Alfie.
Series creator Darren Star returns to guide Emily in Paris as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Andrew Fleming, Tony Hernandez (JAX Media), Lilly Burns (JAX Media), Alison Brown, and Robin Schiff.
“This season, Emily is much more involved and invested in making her life specifically in Paris, and figuring out what that means. She’s fully pursuing a new relationship with Alfie — but there’s still this mutual attraction with Gabriel that haunts both of them. She gets to expand her presence at work this season, too, and she has some big choices to make in terms of where her loyalty falls,” explains Star. “Emily really grows and matures this season, and she works so hard to become part of the French world, and working on her French language skills. She’s going through the experience that any expat goes through when they start spending time in Paris: the French way of life starts to seep into them. Emily becomes more of a citizen of Paris as the season evolves.”
The 10-episode third season arrives on December 21, 2022.
