Frankie Muniz slips back into his Malcolm in the Middle character for the revival series, Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair. Hulu’s released the first teaser footage showing the titular character’s reluctance at reuniting with his family.
Returning cast members include Bryan Cranston as Hal, Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Christopher Kennedy Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Emy Coligado as Piama. Newcomers include Keeley Karsten as Leah, Malcolm’s daughter; Vaughan Murrae as Kelly, Malcolm’s youngest sibling; Kiana Madeira as Tristan, Malcolm’s girlfriend; and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark as Dewey.
The four-episode series premieres on April 10, 2026 on Hulu.
“After shielding himself and his daughter from his family for over a decade, Malcolm is dragged back into their orbit when Hal and Lois demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party,” reads Hulu’s synopsis.
Linwood Boomer, the creator of the original comedy, is back as the writer and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Bryan Cranston, Tracy Katsky, Gail Berman, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann. Ken Kwapis directs the four-episode revival and also executive produces.
