The last trailer leading up to the fifth and final season of You teases that Joe may actually get what he’s got coming. The two-minute trailer shows his past is definitely catching up with him. And when Joe declares, “At heart, I’m a normal guy,” while inside his cage, fans can only hope he remains in that cage for the remainder of his life.
The final trailer was accompanied by a new batch of season five photos.
Series star Penn Badgley believes the show’s return to New York City, where it all began, is only fitting. “My first memory of stepping into Mooney’s [in Season 1], the space felt big and new, and obviously now it just doesn’t feel that way to me. It’s very familiar, and it feels smaller, and maybe that’s just a metaphor for the whole thing,” said Badgley in an interview with Tudum. “The whole thing—the character, the concept, and the cultural thing it became—used to feel a bit daunting, and now I feel like it’s a bit more manageable, [a bit] smaller for me.”

The season five cast also Charlotte Ritchie as Kate Lockwood, Madeline Brewer as Bronte, Anna Camp as Reagan and Maddie Lockwood, and Griffin Matthews as Teddy Lockwood. Recurring season five cast members include Natasha Behnam as Dominique, b as Phoenix, Pete Ploszek as Harrison, Tom Francis as Clayton, and Nava Mau as Detective Marquez.
“In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires,” reads Netflix’s synopsis.
Showrunners/Executive Producers/Writers: Michael Foley and Justin Lo serve as showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Additional executive producers include Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Penn Badgley, Sera Gamble, Leslie Morgenstein, Leigh London Redman, Gina Girolamo, Neil Reynolds, and Marcos Siega.
You season five premieres on April 24, 2025.
