Netflix’s You season five trailer begins with Joe saying, “Hello, you,” and ends with him saying, “Goodbye, you.” In between, he explains that he’s back to where it all began and acknowledges that a lot has happened over the years. Everything that’s taken place has led him to where he is now, where he was always meant to be.

The trailer arrived along with confirmation the fifth and, tragically, final season will premiere on April 24, 2025. Per Netflix’s synopsis: “Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.”

“Every season they manage to find new space to make it interesting and relevant,” said Penn Badgley in an interview with Tudum. “And this season, I think somehow coming back to where it started allowed for it to just become grounded in the way that it needs to also have this kind of spectacular finish.”

In addition to Badgley, season five stars Charlotte Ritchie as Kate, Madeline Brewer as Bronte, Griffin Matthews as Teddy Lockwood, and Anna Camp as Raegan and Maddie Lockwood. Michael Foley and Justin Lo are the writers, executive producers, and writers. Additional executive producers include Greg Berlanti, Sera Gamble, Penn Badgley, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo, Marcos Siega, and Neil Reynolds.
