AMC’s teasing TWD fans with a 30-second promo for the upcoming third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Season two wrapped up on November 3, 2024, and season three is expected to premiere in 2025.
“Season three will follow Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love,” reads AMC’s synopsis. “As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.”
Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride return to star as Daryl and Carol, with Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay on board as season three regulars. The ensemble for the upcoming season also includes Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usí,n and Stephen Merchant.
Filming on season three is taking place in Madrid as well as the Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia regions of Spain. Executive producers include Reedus, McBride, Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner David Zabel, Greg Nicotero, and Brian Bockrath. Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, Steve Squillante, Silvia Aráez, and Jesús de la Vega also serve as executive producers.
