FX is shifting the premiere date for the limited series A Murder at the End of the World in response to the ongoing writers and actors strike. The seven-episode series created and directed by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij had been scheduled to debut on August 29, 2023. FX confirmed it’s been moved to an unspecified date in November on Hulu.

Previously titled Retreat, A Murder at the End of the World stars Emma Corrin (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy nominee, The Crown) and Harris Dickinson (Trust, Triangle of Sadness). The cast includes Clive Owen, Brit Marling, Alice Braga, Joan Chen, Raúl Esparza, Jermaine Fowler, and Ryan J. Haddad.

Pegah Ferydoni, Javed Khan, Louis Cancelmi, Edoardo Ballerini, Britian Seibert, Christopher Gurr, Kellan Tetlow, Daniel Olson, and Neal Huff also star. Co-creators Marling and Batmanglij executive produce along with Andrea Sperling (Transparent), Melanie Marnich, and Nicki Paluga.

FX released this synopsis of the limited drama:

A Murder at the End of the World is a mystery series with a new kind of detective at the helm — a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker named “Darby Hart” (Corrin). Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire (Owen) to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use all of her skills to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.”
