Season two of TNT’s popular fantasy adventure series The Librarians: The Next Chapter premieres on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 9pm ET/PT. With the premiere just days away, the cast—Olivia Morris, Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Bluey Robinson, Christian Kane, and Lindy Booth—and series creator Dean Devlin made the trek to the San Diego Comic-Con, participating in a packed panel and sitting down for interviews to further delve into the new season.
Olivia Morris, Callum McGowan, Bluey Robinson, and Jessica Green teamed up to tease upcoming storylines and provide a behind-the-scenes look at season two. And Dean Devlin, Christian Kane, and Lindy Booth offered new insight into the franchise and bringing in special guest stars.
TNT offers this synopsis of what’s in store for fans in season two:
“This season, the team must confront not only external threats but also their own deepest fears and darkest nightmares. Lysa (Olivia Morris) and Connor (Bluey Robinson) grapple with the realities of their new roles as Librarians, while Charlie (Jessica Green) struggles under the weight of being the team’s sole Guardian.
Vikram (Callum McGowan), meanwhile, must surrender his lone-wolf instincts to fully embrace team mentality. Further complicating matters, the group unexpectedly crosses paths with legendary magician Merlin (Dominic Monaghan), who challenges the very foundation of the Library and tempts them to break its most sacred rule.”
Dean Devlin is the showrunner and serves as an executive producer along with Marc Roskin, Rachel Olschan-Wilson, and Gary Rosen. Original The Librarians star Noah Wyle is involved as a producer, along with Brandon Lambdin, Mark Franco, and Jonathan English.
