

K-pop stars BTS will make a special appearance on the 2026 American Music Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah. The 11-time AMAs winners entered the awards show’s record book as the first Korean group to perform back in 2017.
BTS picked up nominations in the Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer, and Best Male K-Pop Artist categories this year.
The 2026 AMAs will air live from Vegas on CBS and Paramount+ on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. Announced performers include Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Billy Idol, International Artist Award of Excellence recipient KAROL G, Hootie & the Blowfish, KATSEYE, Keith Urban, Maluma, The Pussycat Dolls + Busta Rhymes, Riley Green, SOMBR, Teddy Swims, Teyana Taylor, and Twenty One Pilots.
Taylor Swift tops the list of nominees for the 52nd AMAs with eight nominations. Swift is up for awards in the Song of the Year (“The Fate of Ophelia”), Album of the Year (The Life of a Showgirl), Artist of the Year, Best Music Video (“The Fate of Ophelia”), Song of the Summer (“Elizabeth Taylor”), Best Female Pop Artist, Best Pop Song (“The Fate of Ophelia”), and Best Pop Album (The Life of a Showgirl) categories.
Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter, and SOMBR followed Swift with seven nominations each. Alex Warren, Lady Gaga, Ella Langley, Fuerza Regida, and Zara Larsson each earned five.
