ABC’s The Bachelorette season 22 is going outside of the Bachelor Nation for its star. 31-year-old Taylor Frankie Paul has been named the new Bachelorette, following up her standout role in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives with the lead in the upcoming 2026 season of The Bachelorette.

ABC offers this brief bio of Paul: “Paul is the breakout star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, captivating millions with her raw, unapologetic storytelling. Off-screen, she’s a TikTok powerhouse whose comedic, heartwarming, and bitingly honest content has earned her a massive following. As a single mother of three, Paul shares the highs and lows of her life with unfiltered candor. With humor, resilience, and a fearless openness, she inspires others to embrace life’s chaos and own their story.”

Season 22 will premiere in 2026. A new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives debuts on November 13, 2025.

Taylor Frankie Paul described being named as the new Bachelorette as surreal in an interview with Good Morning America. Asked what characteristics she’ll be looking for among the season 22 bachelors, Paul replied, “How you treat people is my number one, down to things of like someone in passing by or a neighbor or your server.”

Paul also confirmed she’d be open to dating someone outside of her religion. She added, “Kids are important. I’m obviously going to ask them, like, ‘Are you ready to be involved with three children?’ I think everything can be workable if two people want it and they love each other.”
