The Flash‘s Tom Cavanagh and Sullivan’s Crossing‘s Amalia Williamson are confirmed to star in Acorn TV’s You’re Killing Me. Brooke Shields leads the cast and serves as an executive producer of the murder mystery series.
Production is expected to begin in September 2025 in Nova Scotia. The six-episode series will launch on Acorn TV next year.
“Set in a quaint New England colonial town, You’re Killing Me (the series’ former working title was Allie & Andi) follows bestselling novelist (Shields) who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer and podcaster (Williamson) to find the killer of a close friend,” reads Acorn TV+’s synopsis. “Williamson will play ‘Andi,’ a sassy Girl Wonder who was once an up-and-coming celebrity until she lost it all. Cavanagh is on board as ‘Jack,’ the new lead detective of the Founders Cove Police Department and former city slicker who is trying to acclimate to the quirks of small-town life.”
Robin Bernheim (When Calls the Heart) created the series and serves as an executive producer along with Michael Volpe, Christina Jennings, and Scott Garvie. Directors include Scott Smith, Paul Fox, and executive producer James Genn. The series is a co-production between Topsail Entertainment and Shaftesbury.
Amalia Williamson’s credits include Northern Rescue, My Sister’s Double Life, Letterkenny, and Children Ruin Everything. Tom Cavanagh’s resume includes Superman & Lois, BitCon, Don’t Move, Ed, and Bang Bang, You’re Dead.
