Apple TV+’s Shrinking is showing off a very brief first-look teaser trailer that reveals nothing about the series. The cast, with the exception of Harrison Ford, jumps on a trampoline as the Apple Original comedy announces a January 27, 2023 premiere date.
The teaser also reveals a tagline for the series: “Sometimes you have to break down to have a breakthrough.”
In addition to Harrison Ford, the comedy series stars Jason Segel, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, and Lukita Maxwell. Segel created Shrinking with Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence and Ted Lasso star, writer, and co-executive producer Brett Goldstein.
Segel, Lawrence, and Goldstein serve as writers and executive producers. Additional executive producers include Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer. Ponsoldt directed the first episode.
Shrinking is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Lawrence’s Doozer Productions.
The first two episodes of the 10-episode season will premiere on January 27, followed by new episodes every Friday.
Apple TV+ released this description of the comedy series:
“Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.”
